About the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Communications Unit
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency is Sweden's central environmental authority, working on environmental and sustainability issues and implementing the government's environmental policy. The Communications Unit is responsible for disseminating knowledge about environmental and climate issues through digital and traditional channels, in collaboration with various departments and external actors.
What will I do and learn during the internship?
As an intern, you will apply your theoretical knowledge in practice and develop your ability to communicate complex environmental issues clearly and engagingly. You will work closely with various teams and gain a deeper understanding of how communication works in a government agency. During the internship, you will:
- Support an editorial team by writing and editing texts for the web, intranet, and social media.
- Collaborate with experts to produce finished posts and communication materials.
- Plan and execute smaller communication initiatives.
- Perform basic graphic design and work on communication plans.
- Tailor the internship according to your interests, such as film, photography, or analysis and planning.

- Ongoing university education in communication, marketing, or similar fields.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious
- Experience in text editing and content production.
Conditions
Internship period: Autumn 2025, 10 weeks (15 credits) or 20 weeks (30 credits).
Location: The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's office in Stockholm. Remote work is partially possible, but the majority of the internship period will take place on-site in Stockholm.
Supervisor: Anki Grundelius.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid and must be carried out as part of your studies. To undertake the internship, you must be enrolled in an internship course at a university or college.
